Billy Ray Cyrus says a surprise text caused her romance with Elizabeth Hurley

The Elizabeth Hurley model and singer Billy Ray Cyrus surprised fans last weekend when they launched their relationship on social networks, but, according to Cyrus, her romance had been brewing for some time.

Appearing in “The Ty Bentli Show” by Apple Music Country on Thursday, Cyrus remembered the Hurley meeting on the 2022 movie “Christmas in Paradise”, also starring Kelsey Grammer.

“The strangest part was the first, how much we laughed,” he explained, according to the extracts of the interview that appeared in People and Entertainment tonight. “Secondly, I thought we were very different, but in a very strange way, we had much more in common than we had different.”

Although the country musician said “there was a chemistry” between him and Hurley from the first moment, they did not connect again for about two years later by text message, when he was experiencing a difficult period.

“I felt, ‘Wow, can life be more difficult? Can it be more difficult?’ For me, at a certain point it was like, you cannot be shot down in any more flat favor than to bed on your back when life is kicking you, ”said Cyrus. “And right now … a friend approached.”

Hurley’s text said, he read: “Hello, it seems that life could be a bit difficult and I just wanted you to know that I am in your corner; you have a friend in your corner.”

“So I return a text message, I say: ‘Who is this?’ And it’s like, ‘Elizabeth Hurley, “he added. “Of all the people to contact me in that second that maybe I needed it … this friend who made me laugh.”

Although Cyrus did not enter any detail about what implied his difficult period, the two -time Grammy winner and ex -wife Firerosese divorced last year after only seven months of marriage. According to all accounts, the division was very controversial.

And in January, Cyrus’s performance in one of the opening festivities of President Donald Trump was widely criticized after it seemed to find problems with the audio system of the place throughout the set. Days later, Cyrus Trace’s son responded to the performance with an open letter on Instagram in which he urged his father to seek help while hinting a long distance.

In another part of his conversation with Bentli, Cyrus said he and Hurley “still had no expectations of where we are going from here.” He also grateful to the 21 -year -old son of Hurley, Damian, who at the beginning of this week gave his mother’s relationship his approval seal on Instagram.

“It’s great that God has brought them to my life when he did. It’s good,” Cyrus said. “It has been a long time since I have been so happy.”
