Charlie Sheen was compared to Trump again, but this time there is a compliment
Jon Cryer could consider supporting his co -star from “Two and a Half Men” Charlie Sheen if Sheen somehow challenged President Donald Trump for a political position.
Appearing on Wednesday “The Meidastouch Podcast”, Cryer returned his previous comparison of Sheen and Trump while expressing his ongoing disgust by the current commander in chief.
“To be clear, like many of the problems that Charlie faces, I think he would be a better president,” he joked. “Then … I don’t know if it’s fair to group both of them completely.”
Cryer conducted his Trump evaluation in 2016, when the future president was still a candidate for the first time.

“I have been pointing out, and I have been shouting at the roofs, which Donald Trump is the Charlie Sheen of politics,” said the actor during an appearance in the podcast “Never Not Funny” that year. “I love Charlie Sheen, I loved working with him when he was sober, but … he is full of shit. He has been full of shit, he has a serious addiction. His addiction is obviously serious … but Trump is addicted to feeling important.”
In his “Meidostouch Podcast” chat, Cryer clarified that any similarities between Sheen and Trump was simply in his communication styles, at least at the time Sheen was experiencing drug addiction and alcohol.
“What I was pointing out was that, at the time I made that comment, Charlie was still going and said the stupid comments of ‘Tiger Blood’ that he was doing,” he explained. “And Trump has always felt comfortable saying how stupid he said, because people ruled out as harmless and did not take responsibility for those things.”

Cryer and Sheen portrayed the brothers Alan and Charlie Harper, respectively, in “Two and a Half Men” of News when the series premiered in 2003. While it was on the set, Sheen and the cooker of the Chuck Lorre Chocó series. In 2011, Sheen was fired from the program after his eighth season.

When the ninth season of the program was released, it was said that Charlie Harper’s character died, and actor Ashton Kutcher joined the cast in the newly written billionaire Walden Schmidt.
In recent years, Cryer has ignored the suggestion of a meeting with Sheen, despite the fact that the latter has been more open with respect to his experiences with addiction. In 2023, Sheen told people that he had been sober for six years.
“There was instant evidence that this was the side I needed to be. I couldn’t deny it anymore,” he said at that time. “I am proud of the elections that I have made and of the changes I have made to live a life today that will never look like that disaster. That was an alien version of myself.”
