The “Today Show” host’s sister, Savannah Guthrie, had dinner with her mother, Nancy Guthrie, shortly before her alleged kidnapping Saturday night, narrowing her schedule to focus on, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Us Weekly on Monday.

Since Annie Guthrie was likely the last person to see her mother before her disappearance, “we have a starting point,” Nanos said. “The family brought her home after dinner between 9:30 and 9:45. So we would go back to 9 or 8:30 pm to start looking.”

Annie Guthrie did not raise any “red flags” about the way her mother was acting during the meeting, Nanos said.

Relatives were informed that the 84-year-old woman was missing around 11 a.m. the next day and called police at 12:15 p.m.

Then Nanos determined that “between 9:30 p.m. and 11 a.m. [a.m.]” like the time period in which Nancy Guthrie disappeared.

“This is an 84-year-old woman who is safe in her own home sleeping and they take her away. That should never happen,” Nanos told the outlet.

After noting “grave concern” Sunday following a search of her Tucson-area home, Nanos said Monday he believed Guthrie was kidnapped.

On Monday night, Savannah Guthrie issued her second statement of the day, asking for prayers to get her mother back.
