In a rare move, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot has summoned Bill White, the US ambassador to the country, for accusing Belgium of anti-Semitism and criticizing the Health Minister.
White made the allegations in connection with an ongoing case in which Belgian authorities are investigating three Jewish men in Antwerp to determine whether they performed circumcisions without medical certification.
“Labeling Belgium as anti-Semitic is not only incorrect, it is dangerous misinformation that undermines the real fight against hate,” Prévot said.

In a post on his Truth Social platform Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump addressed the death of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, writing that the civil rights icon “We will miss him.”
“He was a good man, with a lot of personality, determination and “street smarts.” He was very sociable – someone who really loved people! Even though the scoundrels and lunatics of the radical left, ALL Democrats, falsely and constantly call me racist, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.”
“I loved his family very much and I send them my deepest condolences and condolences. We will miss Jesse!” continuous.
Trump used the statement to criticize former President Barack Obama, claiming that Jackson”I couldn’t stand” him.
News themezone’s Kevin Robillard has explained that while Jackson endorsed Obama in 2008, Jackson’s friends told reporters that he thought Obama had not given him enough credit for the way his presidential campaigns paved the way for Obama’s successful career.

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has put “strain” on the U.S. Coast Guard by overseeing a huge increase in the use of the service’s aircraft to support President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, according to an NBC News report.
The report suggests that the Coast Guard, the only ram The US military, overseen by Noem’s department, has been tasked with prioritizing deportation flights over search and rescue operations.
Tensions between Noem and Coast Guard chiefs are said to have escalated when a 23-year-old guardsman fell overboard into the Pacific Ocean in February last year, shortly after she took office.
Hours into the search, Noem reportedly intervened to remove a C-130 plane from the mission and re-transport the detained migrants from California to Texas.
Alternate aircraft were reorganized to allow the C-130 to continue the futile search (the Coast Guard cutter was never found), but Noem’s decision to weigh in left officials with a “negative impression.”
DHS says the C-130 never abandoned the search mission.

Tuesday marks the first day of early primary voting in Texas for races that include a highly watched U.S. Senate race.
Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, state Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt are running in the Republican primary.
President Donald Trump, whose endorsement could upend the Republican primary, told reporters Monday that he has not done so.”I haven’t made a decision about that career yet.” despite calls from establishment Republicans who want him to formally endorse Cornyn.
“In fact, I like all three.” Trump said. “I support all three.”
Meanwhile, on the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and State Rep. James Talarico are vying for their party’s nomination.

Warner Bros. Discovery has rejected Paramount Skydance’s latest $30-a-share hostile takeover bid, but is giving the Hollywood studio seven days to see if it can reach a better deal to buy the owner of HBO Max and the “Harry Potter” franchise, Warner Bros. said in a statement.
Paramount informally addressed an even higher stock price, $31 per share, Warner Bros. said, apparently bringing the board to the table.

Iran’s supreme leader warned Tuesday that U.S. attempts to overthrow his government would fail, as Washington and Tehran began indirect talks in Geneva over their long-running nuclear dispute amid a U.S. military buildup in the Middle East.
The United States, which joined Israel in bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities in June, has deployed a fighting force to the region and US President Donald Trump has said that “regime change” in Iran may be the best thing that can happen. Iran on Monday carried out its own exercise in the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for oil shipments.

Donald Trump was once again the target of satirical mockery at the annual Rose Monday carnival parade in Düsseldorf, Germany.
An effigy of the president, with “ICE” representing Immigration and Customs Enforcement written on his sleeve, depicted him striking Jesus Christ, with “Love and humanity” on his shirt, on his face.

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) addressed speculation about her political future in an interview with The New York Times on Monday, days after attending the high-profile Munich Security Conference.
The legislator said that she joined the summit “not because I’m running for president, not because I’ve made any kind of decision about a horse race or a candidacy, but because we need to sound the alarm that many of those people in well-pressed suits in that room won’t be there much longer if we don’t do something about the rampant inequality that is fueling far-right populist movements.”

The Rev. Jesse Jackson, a civil rights leader who bridged the era of Martin Luther King Jr. with the modern world and whose two presidential bids in the 1980s laid the foundation for today’s progressive movement, died early Tuesday, his family announced. He was 84 years old.
“Our father was a servant leader, not only for our family, but also for the oppressed, the voiceless and the ignored around the world,” the family said in a statement. “We shared him with the world, and in return, the world became part of our extended family. His unwavering belief in justice, equality, and love encouraged millions, and we ask that you honor his memory by continuing to fight for the values he lived by.”

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper plans to leave News”60 minutes” after almost two decades of contributing to the program.

“We are grateful to him for dedicating a large part of his life to this broadcast and we understand the importance of spending more time with family. 60 Minutes will be here if you ever want to come back,”” said.

Belgium summons US ambassador over anti-Semitism accusations
In a rare move, Belgian Foreign Minister Maxime Prévot has summoned Bill White, the US ambassador to the country, for accusing Belgium of anti-Semitism and criticizing the Health Minister.
White made the allegations in connection with an ongoing case in which Belgian authorities are investigating three Jewish men in Antwerp to determine whether they performed circumcisions without medical certification.
“Labeling Belgium as anti-Semitic is not only incorrect, it is dangerous misinformation that undermines the real fight against hate,” Prévot said.

‘He will be missed’: Trump pays tribute to Jesse Jackson
In a post on his Truth Social platform Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump addressed the death of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, writing that the civil rights icon will be “missed.”
“He was a good man, with a lot of personality, determination and ‘street smarts’. He was very outgoing – someone who really loved people! Even though I am falsely and constantly called a racist by the scoundrels and lunatics of the radical left, ALL Democrats, it was always my pleasure to help Jesse along the way.”
“He loved his family very much and I send them my deepest condolences and condolences. Jesse will be missed!” continuous.
Trump used the statement to criticize former President Barack Obama, stating that Jackson “couldn’t stand it.”
News themezone’s Kevin Robillard has explained that while Jackson endorsed Obama in 2008, Jackson’s friends told reporters that he thought Obama had not given him enough credit for the way his presidential campaigns paved the way for Obama’s successful career.
Tensions are rising between Kristi Noem and an entire branch of the military
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has put “strain” on the U.S. Coast Guard by overseeing a huge increase in the use of the service’s aircraft to support President Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown, according to an NBC News report.
The report suggests that the Coast Guard, the only branch of the US military overseen by Noem’s department, has been tasked with prioritizing deportation flights over search and rescue operations.

Early primary voting begins in Texas
Tuesday marks the first day of early primary voting in Texas for races that include a highly watched U.S. Senate race.
Incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, state Attorney General Ken Paxton and U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt are running in the Republican primary.
President Donald Trump, whose endorsement could upend the Republican primary, told reporters Monday that he “hasn’t made a decision on that race yet,” despite calls from establishment Republicans who want him to formally endorse Cornyn.
“I actually like all three,” Trump said. “I support all three.”
Meanwhile, on the Democratic side, U.S. Rep. Jasmine Crockett and State Rep. James Talarico are vying for their party’s nomination.
Warner Bros. rejects Paramount’s latest offer, but gives the studio a week to negotiate a better deal

Khamenei warns Trump as US, Iran begin nuclear talks in Geneva
Iran’s supreme leader warned Tuesday that U.S. attempts to overthrow his government would fail, as Washington and Tehran began indirect talks in Geneva over their long-running nuclear dispute amid a U.S. military buildup in the Middle East.
The United States, which joined Israel in bombing Iran’s nuclear facilities in June, has deployed a fighting force to the region and US President Donald Trump has said that “regime change” in Iran may be the best thing that can happen. Iran on Monday carried out its own exercise in the Strait of Hormuz, a key waterway for oil shipments.

AOC addresses speculation about her political future after Munich summit
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) addressed speculation about her political future in an interview with The New York Times on Monday, days after attending the high-profile Munich Security Conference.
The lawmaker said she joined the summit “not because I’m running for president, not because I’ve made some kind of decision about a horse race or a candidacy, but because we need to sound the alarm that many of those people in well-pressed suits in that room won’t be there much longer if we don’t do something about the rampant inequality that is fueling far-right populist movements.”

Jesse Jackson, civil rights leader who helped launch progressive movement, dies at 84

Anderson Cooper will leave ’60 Minutes’
CNN anchor Anderson Cooper plans to leave News’ “60 Minutes” after nearly two decades of contributing to the show.
“Being a correspondent for 60 Minutes has been one of the great honors of my career. I’ve been able to tell incredible stories and work with some of the best producers, editors and camera crews in the business. For nearly twenty years, I’ve been able to balance my jobs at CNN and News, but now I have young children and I want to spend as much time as possible with them, while they still want to spend time with me,” Cooper said in a statement Monday.
The Breaker media newsletter was the first to report the news.
News issued its own statement thanking Cooper for his contributions to the show.
“We are grateful to him for dedicating so much of his life to this broadcast and we understand the importance of spending more time with family. 60 Minutes will be here if he ever wants to return,” it said.
Cooper won two Emmy Awards in 2017 for his work on the show. His latest segment of “60 Minutes,” which airs Sunday, is an interview with documentary filmmaker Ken Burns.
The journalist will remain employed full-time at CNN, where he hosts “Anderson Cooper 360” nightly and hosts a podcast and streaming show called “All There Is.”
The journalist’s decision not to renew his contract marks the first major change to the program’s on-air status since conservative Bari Weiss took over as editor-in-chief of News.

A shooting during a youth hockey game in Rhode Island left three people dead, including the shooter, and three more hospitalized Monday night in critical condition, authorities said.
Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves told reporters that someone helped quickly end the violent scene Monday afternoon by intervening and trying to subdue the shooter, who was at an arena to watch a family member’s hockey game. The shooter died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, he said, noting that authorities were still investigating.
