The former NFL player talks about the strange homoeroticism in the locker room

“It’s like, okay, I don’t want to look too much,” he added. “But then there’s this weird homoeroticism that happens in the locker room where they talk openly about each other’s private parts… it’s just a performative thing that goes on.”

Underwood came out as gay in an emotional interview on “Good Morning America” in 2021. Despite criticism of both his “Bachelor” past and a subsequent Netflix docuseries chronicling his coming out experience, the 34-year-old has since become an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ+ rights. In 2023, she married political strategist Jordan C. Brown. The two men welcomed a son, Bishop Colton Brown-Underwood, a year later.

Elsewhere in his “Who’s the Jerk?” chat, Underwood said Brown, who worked on former President Barack Obama’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns, “matches and checks all the boxes I’ve always wanted.” Still, at first he tried to keep their romance “a secret as long as possible.”
