President donald trump I didn’t feel so MAGA-nanimous towards Megyn Kelly and Tucker Carlson on Mondays.

The two former News stars, who still feature prominently in MAGA media, have been fierce critics of Trump’s US-Israel war in Iran. The attacks have killed Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and hundreds of civilians, while American casualties in the conflict mount. There are concerns that the United States could be caught in an escalation of fighting abroad, without the approval of Congress.

Carlson called the attacks “absolutely disgusting and evil,” and Kelly expressed serious doubt about Trump’s explanations, declaring, “No one should have to die for a foreign country.”

Rachael Bade of The Inner Circle on Substack asked the president about his MAGA detractors.

“I think MAGA is Trump; MAGA is not the other two,” Trump said of Kelly and Carlson.

“MAGA wants to see our country prosper and be safe. And MAGA loves what I’m doing, every aspect of it…This is a detour we have to take to keep our country and other countries safe, frankly.”

Trump added: “Megan opposed me for years when I first ran, and nothing stopped me. So, you know, some people are against it, and they always come back. She came back. But now I guess she might not like the idea of this war, but I do because I have to keep nuclear weapons out of the hands of the Iranians.”

As for Carlson, Trump said the former prime-time face of perhaps his favorite network “can say whatever he wants; it has no impact on me.”

In attempting to justify the mission, Trump has again been stoking fears about Iran’s nuclear arsenal after claiming that months ago he destroyed its capabilities in targeted strikes. He has also offered other reasons, muddying his message.
