Kelly Clarkson is still furious with
There seems to be a lot of resentment behind those hazel eyes.
On Tuesday’s episode of his daytime talk show, Kelly Clarkson He let out all the pent up anger he’s been holding on to for over 20 years when he stated that “american idol”He was never given any of the prizes he was promised for winning the long-running reality show.

News reached out to “American Idol” for comment but did not receive an immediate response.
Clarkson was the show’s first winner in its inaugural season in 2002, and her successful career helped legitimize it. She said on Tuesday’s episode of the show that she was promised a new car and $1 million, and she never received either.
Clarkson’s revelation came while interviewing “The Traitors” winner Rob Rausch, who said he has yet to receive his impressive $220,800 prize.

Upon hearing Rausch’s comment that she hadn’t been able to collect her payday yet, Clarkson decided to rage against the pop star machine and got very, very spicy by telling him that she could “relate to this so hard.”
“They said, ‘Oh, you make a million dollars or whatever, da da da,’” he said. “No, you didn’t. They lied. You didn’t, no. It was like ‘a million dollars’ worth of investment in you…’.”
Upon hearing this supposedly shady tidbit that the money was invested in Clarkson instead of given to her directly, Rausch seemed stunned and said, “That’s crazy.”
“Wait, what?!” said a surprised Daniel Radcliffe, who was also a guest on the show at the time, in response to Clarkson’s “investment” detail.
“Yeah!” Clarkson said.
“No!” exclaimed Radcliffe.
But the Grammy winner wasn’t done spilling the tea yet.

“And then they told me to get a car. And I needed it, because my car was totaled and I couldn’t pay the deductible,” Clarkson said. “And… no! I didn’t get a car!”
The “Because of You” singer became very emotional thinking about the “Idol” veteran. Clay Aikenwho came in second place on Season 2 of the show.
“And then Clay Aiken, who didn’t win the second season, got a car!” Clarkson shouted before rising from his chair and addressing the audience. “And his mom!”
After the audience applauded her outburst, Clarkson sat back down, but she was still seething.
“I was like, what the fuck?!” Clarkson said, the insult ringing.
Clarkson added that when Aiken told her that he and his mother got cars from “Idol,” she recalled telling him, “In fact, I’m going to kick your ass right now.”

Radcliffe suggested there should be some “kind of system” under which the first winner of a competition show should “retroactively get” whatever the “prizes” are as the show gets bigger and doles out fancier items and bigger checks.
“It was supposed to be the prize so“OK?!” Clarkson said.
However, it is quite notable that Clarkson remembers Aiken placing second during his season. Last year, he had Aiken on his show. and misidentified him as the winner of season 2 of “Idol.” forcing him to correct the record. Aiken lost to the actual winner of season 2, Ruben Studdard – but the two are friends and often work together.
“I’m so sorry, Ruben! I remember it perfectly,” Clarkson said in response, a little embarrassed. “Look, I’m 42, bro. It’s okay, I forgot.”
Afterwards, Aiken talked about how he totally understood Clarkson’s confusion because he still works with Studdard.
“[You guys] “They are such an odd couple… but it still works,” Clarkson said.
“Because we look a lot alike,” Aiken joked.
