Robert De Niro’s daughter, Airyn, came out as a transgender in a news article on Tuesday, saying that hormonal therapy began in November.

“I think part of me is worried that [my family] Maybe I still think of me as the person who was before the transition, ”he told them at the exit.

Airyn, who is an aspiring actor, has been “present femme” from high school, wrote the outlet, and came out as a gay man in high school. His decision to advance with a transition was fed by his desire to maintain his femininity as he aged and the positive stories of others who made the transition.
