MS NOW’s Flagship Program Delivers Newsworthy Update Amid Restructuring
Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, the married duo of MS NOW’s “Morning Joe,” told Axios on Wednesday that they have signed with the cable network through the end of 2029.
“Four more years!” as they say at conventions, Scarborough joked on the news site.
“Mika and I “We are excited to stay with our ‘Morning Joe’ family and friends who have been watching regularly for almost 20 years,” Scarborough said, adding that they are grateful to MS NOW’s top brass for the “vote of confidence.”

President Rebecca Kutler, who recently confirmed a network restructuring that included the upcoming departure of news anchor Ana Cabrera, touted the impact of the long-running flagship morning show.
“We’re about to celebrate 20 years of ‘Morning Joe’ — Joe and Mika have created something that can’t be replicated,” he told Axios. “As we move toward the 2026 midterm elections and the 2028 presidential election, ‘Morning Joe’ will continue to be a singular destination for presidents and newsmakers of all political parties.”
Ensuring the longevity of “Morning Joe” is an achievement for the former MSNBC as it strives to solidify its position as MS NOW. The rebranded channel recently split from Comcast (and NBC News).
Last week it was reported that “Morning Joe” would be shortened by an hour to make room for a two-hour show that would be hosted by Stephanie Ruhle, who is leaving “11th Hour” (where she will be replaced by Ali Velshi).
In other moves, Chris Jansing will be reassigned to become MS NOW’s chief political reporter, Alicia Menendez will have a show airing from noon to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Chris Hayes’ “All In” will return to Mondays.
The changes will take effect in June.
