Don’t expect actor Vince Vaughn to appear on a late-night talk show anytime soon.

On the latest episode of Theo Von’s podcast, the “Wedding Crashers” star accused the hosts of imposing their political opinions on the audience.

Vaughn did not name names, but shows hosted by Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Fallon and “The Daily Show” have leaned heavily into political commentary in recent years with fierce criticism of President Donald Trump and Republicans.

Talk shows have become largely “agenda-based,” Vaughn said. “They were evangelical people in what they thought, you know what I mean? And then people just rejected it because it didn’t feel authentic.”

“It seemed like they had an agenda,” he continued. “It stopped being fun and I started to feel like I was in a fucking class I didn’t want to take. You know what I mean? I’m getting scolded.”

Vaughn argued that the decline in ratings is because all the shows become “the same show” and focus too much on politics and judging “who’s good and who’s bad.”

“It’s like, can you imagine sitting next to someone like that on a fucking plane? You’d be like, ‘How do I get out of this fucking scene?'” he joked.

Von joked that he would fart his way out of the situation.

Von later asked Vaughn (a self-described libertarian who had previously received criticism for a cordial interaction with Trump) if he had ever felt left out in Hollywood for his views.

“I get along with people most of the time and I always try to be honest about who I am. But yeah, there are times when you felt like it would have been easier. It’s almost like a career change,” Vaughn said.

“But I was also always the other way around,” he added. “I’m not going to jump 100% on this or that, because I have opinions on both sides.”

“There are things I don’t agree with at all, and then there are things I don’t agree with at all,” he said, pointing to his right and then to his left.
