Actor Alan Ritchson and the neighbor he repeatedly punched in a street fight will walk away without charges, according to reports Monday.

TMZ video of the burly “Reacher” star appearing to punch Ronnie Taylor in the Nashville suburb of Brentwood on Sunday went viral.

But authorities determined that Ritchson, who plays a former Army cop turned butt-kicking highway patrolman on the Amazon Prime series, was protecting himself.

“After reviewing available evidence, including video footage and witness statements, authorities determined that no criminal charges will be filed,” the Brentwood Police Department said in a statement to the Daily Mail. “Mr. Ritchson’s actions were found to be self-defense. Although a possible charge of reckless endangerment was considered, Mr. Ritchson declined to press charges…No further action will be taken.”

Before news leaked that he had been exonerated, the “War Machine” singer shared a quote from Napoleon Bonaparte on Instagram that read: “Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.”

Taylor had cast Ritchson as primarily the aggressor, although he admitted to pushing the actor.

Footage from Ritchson’s body camera showed Taylor stepping in front of Ritchson while riding his motorcycle, apparently to initiate the confrontation. Then Ritchson seems to push him. After heated words, Taylor appears to impede or push the actor as he tries to leave. Ritchson hits him with punches while Taylor covers up on the floor. “Are you fucking crazy?” The actor can be heard saying.
