The Mavs season became agitation when they changed Luka Dončić to the Los Angeles Lakers, which caused the hatred of fans to the general manager Nico Harrison, who needed greater security during the rest of the season.

But suddenly, everything seems to be well in Dallas.

The Utah Jazz, with a worst NBA album, had the best chances in the upper selection, but fell to No. 5. Utah has never selected No. 1 or improved its position in the draft. Since the NBA changed its lottery system in 2019, the team with the best probabilities has never selected first.

Flagg increased his own expectations declaring Duke in high school, and then lived up to turnover.

FlagG led Duke this season in almost all statistical categories, including points (709), rebounds (278), assists (155), robberies (52) and blocks per game (1.4). He averaged 19.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.4 robberies per game, but his best performance was in January when he established a first year record of ACC with a 42 -point performance against Notre Dame.

Flagg closed a phenomenal year with a semifinal appearance in the NCAA Male Tournament and was appointed the winner of the Naismith Award Player of the year 2025, becoming the fourth first year student to be named his recipient, along with Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis and Zion Williamson.

His Blue Devils lost a late advantage against Houston, who returned Florida’s favor in the National Championship.
