Trump is putting his defense lawyer in charge of the Congress Library
President Donald Trump took advantage of Todd Blanche, a senior official of the Department of Justice and former personal lawyer for the president, to direct the Library of Congress, confirmed a spokesman for the Department of Justice to News themezone.
Blanche is expected to continue his role as attached attorney general and at the same time serve as the interim librarian of Congress, supervising one of the world’s largest libraries. That would make it one of several Trump officials to have multiple demanding jobs in completely different agencies.
Trump expelled the previous library of the Congress, Carla Hayden, last week. Hayden, who was appointed by former President Barack Obama, was the first woman and the black person to celebrate the first position of the famous library.
It is not clear what kind of experience in professional librarian could have Blanche. His LinkedIn Page says he studied communications, economy and political science at the American University and then received his juris doctor from the Brooklyn Law Faculty. He does not mention a title in librarian.
Blanche worked as Trump’s defense lawyer in his criminal trial in New York City last year.
Politico reported on Monday that Blanche’s appointment as an interim librarian is apparently in dispute. Robert Randolph Newlen, an official of the library who took charge after the dismissal of Hayden last week, wrote an email to the library staff saying: “Congress is committed to the White House and we have not received the direction of Congress on how to advance.”
The Congress Library did not immediately respond to a News themezone application on Monday in search of clarity about the library leadership.
As News themezone reported last week, Trump’s favorite loyal ones have a way of being in several jobs at the same time. The Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, also serves as Trump’s Interim National Security Advisor, as well as the interim chief of the United States Agency for International Development and National Archives and Records Administration.

Meanwhile, Jamieson Greer is helping to coordinate Trump’s commercial war as a commercial representative of the United States, while also directing the Special Advisor Office and the Government Ethics Office.
The experts in the executive personnel of the branch told News themezone that they are concerned about all dual “hatting” that are carried out in the administration, pointing out that any of these works requires full -time attention, not to mention the specific training and experience.

Blanche served as Deputy Attorney General and the Library of Congress at the same time would probably be “another first,” said Kathryn Dunn Tenpas, a student of the US and visiting presidency at Brookings Institution.
“I had never heard of this before,” Tenpas said in an email on Monday. “Dag’s work is immense and so consistent.”
