According to the reports, former President Joe Biden did not recognize George Clooney when he reached a June 2024 funds that the actor was organizing coanfitrion of the then presidential candidate, which finally led Clooney’s decision to speak against Biden’s ability to lead.

It was uncomfortable.”
Clooney, who knows Biden for years, was “shocked to her nucleus,” they wrote Tapper and Thompson.
According to the reports, the Oscar winning actor tried to brush what happened and blame extreme fatigue, and Biden arrived at the Los Angeles event from Italy that day. But then he saw Biden’s worrying debate against the then candidate and former President Donald Trump and listened directly to numerous political leaders who expressed their own concerns.
Despite the extreme rejection of the Biden campaign, Clooney in July continued and published his controversial opinion article in the New York Times: “I love Joe Biden. But we need a new nominated.”

“We are not going to win in November with this president,” Clooney wrote. “This is not just my opinion; this is the opinion of each senator and member of the congress and governor with whom I have spoken in private. Each one, regardless of what he or she is saying publicly.”
Clooney, in an interview with Tapper last month, said he supports his decision to write what he did. He said he doesn’t see him as brave, as Tapper suggested.
“I don’t know if it was brave. It was a civic duty,” Clooney replied.
