According to the reports, a “small nodule” was found in the prostate of former President Joe Biden after “a physical examination of routine” in a hospital in Philadelphia last week.
Friday’s discovery “has required an additional evaluation,” said a former president’s spokesman for ABC News. A spokesman refused to share any additional information about his care when he was contacted by the New York Times.
It is common for older men to experience prostate problems. Biden, who is 82 years old, was the oldest president of the United States when he left office in January.

A nodule is a growth or lump that can be cancerous or non -cancerous, and requires more evidence. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men in the United States, the first is skin cancer. Of 100 American men, about 13 years will obtain prostate cancer in their lives, and about two or three will die, according to the centers for disease control and prevention.
However, when it catches early, prostate cancer is highly treatable, according to the American Urology Association, which estimates that more than half of all prostate cancer is found in people over 65.
Biden’s age was a point of concern and containment throughout his administration, and critics raised questions repeatedly about his physical health and cognitive skills. Amid the growing pressure and the calls of some Democrats to pass the cane, he finally finished his re -election campaign less than four months before the 2024 elections.
Biden and his wife, former first lady Jill Biden, earlier this month delayed the statements that her health in Declive was behind her game of the ballot.
“The only reason I left the race was because I didn’t want to have a divided Democratic party. It is a simple proposal,” he said about “Opinion.”
Biden’s personal doctor, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, had repeatedly given him a star health report during his time in office and declared him in “excellent” condition just a few days after his retired campaign.
