HHS of RFK JR to end the guidance of routine covid vaccine for children, pregnant women: report
The Trump administration is moving away from the recommendations of the centers for disease control and prevention (CDC) to vaccinate pregnant children against COVID-19, according to a new report.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), led by Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., plans to extract federal recommendations that these groups obtain the Covid vaccine as a routine measure, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
CDC currently recommend that all 6 months and older get vaccinated, but that guide can be discarded in the next few days.

It is not clear if the HHS plans to eliminate the recommendation completely or simply stop pressing it for all in all areas, according to the report.
The measure would be an important change in federal health policy and would mark a rest of the general vaccine approach that dominated the first years of the pandemic.
Few fathers and future mothers have continued with recent Covid reinforcements. As of April, CDC data shows that only 13% of children and 14% of pregnant women had received the last shot.
The change occurs when the FDA, under Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary, prepares to implement a harder approval process for vaccines.

Speaking on Thursday at a meeting of food and drug lawyers, Makary said: “We want to see vaccines available for high -risk people, and at the same time, we want a good science. We want some good clinical data.”
Kennedy has long criticized RNM vaccines and mass vaccination campaigns. As secretary of the HHS, he now has the authority to review the orientation of the CDC.
The Trump administration said it plans to eliminate routine vaccination orientation in COVID for pregnant children and women, marking an important change in federal health policy, WSJ reported.

The expected change would undermine one of the most promoted health policies of the first Trump administration, Operation Warp Speed and will ask questions about whether insurers will continue to cover the shots.

The critics of the measure told the magazine that it could discourage vaccination and leave the most vulnerable immunocompromised people. Supporters say that he puts policy in line again with science and common sense.
Both HHS and CDC did not respond immediately to the request for comments from News Digital.
