Democrat points to Elon Musk, Doge with the drug test bill
A Democratic legislator has introduced a long -term law project to demand special government employees, such as Elon Musk and their Dux cohort, which are subjected to regular drug evidence.
The representative Mikie Sherrill of New Jersey accused Musk of a “well -documented history of drug use” (accusations that denies) while announcing drug tests for special employees of government employees on Tuesday.
“Donald Trump has given billonario Elon Musk the keys to our government and, with him, access to highly sensitive information, from treasure and social security data to our most saved military plans,” Sherrill wrote in a press release. “Those with access to confidential information must be examined thoroughly, with clear eyes and exercise a good judgment.”
Sherrill argued that Musk and his subordinates in the so -called government efficiency department should have the same standards as other employees of the executive branch, either due to conflicts of interest or approve a drug test.

The bill, which has few hopes to go through the Legislature dominated by Republicans, would require special government employees to approve a drug test before their first day at work and submit to regular projections thereafter. Anyone who says positive for illegal substances would be prohibited from the federal service for at least a year.
News has communicated with Musk and Doge representatives to comment.
Sherrill’s announcement linked to an investigation of the Wall Street Journal of January 2024, in which, according to reports, multiple sources close to Musk said they had witnessed or had direct knowledge of it using LSD, cocaine, ecstasy, fungi and ketamine.
The report also stated that multiple musk experts, including high -level Tesla and Spacex executives, were alarmed by their “volatile behavior” more and more.
In response, Musk’s lawyer, Alex Spiro, told the Journal that his client is “regularly and random to the drug proof in Spacex” and that “a test has never failed.”
However, the billionaire has openly admitted the use of ketamine prescribed by the doctor for therapeutic purposes.
