Gwen Stefani’s American Music Awards and her husband Blake Shelton are driving bananas spectators, but not for the reason you think.

The program, which was broadcast on Monday, was announced as a live celebration of the most important names of music.

However, fans quickly realized that neither Stefani nor Shelton performed their live sets, even though it seemed like spectators at home. In the real ceremony, the pre -recorded videos were played for an audience that remained watching an empty scenario.

In a Tiktok video published on Tuesday, a visibly annoying user filmed his view: a screen that shows Stefani playing some of his best successes, while the true star was remarkably absent.

“She is not here,” says the user, in equal parts bewildered and betrayed.

A separate video of Tiktok captured Shelton’s performance, also delivered Monday night through the screen instead of the stage.

“When Blake Shelton acts at the Ama awards, but there is no Blake Shelton in sight,” said the voiceover. Other artists, such as Benson Boone, Renee Rapp and Alex Warren, sang their songs on Monday night in front of the audience.

Users of social networks on the platform had a field day with false performances on the platform.

A user commented: “The whole show could have been an email.”

Another declared: “This awards program was the worst of all. None of that made sense.”

Interestingly, while his set was pretended, Shelton was in the building, at least enough to introduce his wife, whom he says he has a lot of “love.”

On Tuesday, Shelton led X, previously Twitter, to address the prestressed fiasco.

“Just seeing these stories about Gwen and I pretending our performances for the Ama. We came and act when the program asked us … really nothing more to say,” he wrote.
