Elon Musk admits a truth about his foray into politics
Elon Musk now says that prioritizing policy over its commercial companies may have been a minor error.
“I think I probably spent too much time in politics,” Musk admitted the editor of Ars Technica, Eric Berger, in a new interview that aimed to focus on the future of Spacex following two recent rocket releases that went wrong.
The technology billionaire also told Berger that he thought the criticisms about his right -wing activism were a bit exaggerated.
“It is less than people would think, because the media will represent about anything political,” Musk told the reporter of the trained aerospace industry and astronomer, which has written two books about Spacex. “It’s not as if it left companies.”
Affirming that he is now achieving a better balance between being a businessman and a diplomatic dilettant, the CEO said: “It was only a relative time assignment that was probably too high for the government’s side, and I have reduced it significantly in recent weeks.”

Musk’s incursion into politics seems to have damaged the balances of his companies and his reputation.
Earlier this month, both Tesla and Spacex saw strong decreases in the annual Harris 100 axios survey, a survey that qualifies public opinion on the most outstanding brands of the United States.
Musk’s Electric Car Company submerged from the number 8 that he had in 2021 to No. 95. Meanwhile, Spacex fell from No. 5 to No. 86 in the same time.
Things either looked good when it came to the results of their businesses.
After Tesla revealed that his total income had received a blow of 9.4% year after year in his financial report of the first quarter last month, Musk told investors that he would stop his time with the federal budget effort known as the Government’s efficiency department.
“From next month, I will assign much more time to Tesla, and now that the main work of establishing the government’s efficiency department is done,” said Musk, adding that he would still spend several days a week to government matters, “whenever it is useful.”
