Russell Brand declares herself innocent with positions of rape and sexual aggression in London

London (AP) – The actor and comedian Russell Brand declared himself innocent in a London court on Friday for positions of rape and sexual assault that involve four women dating back more than 25 years.

Brand, who turns 50 next week, denied two positions of rape, two positions of sexual assault and a position of indecent aggression. He said “not guilty” after each position was read in Southwark Crown Court.

His trial was scheduled for June 3, 2026 and is expected to last four to five weeks.

Prosecutors said the crimes took place between 1999 and 2005, one in the English coastal city of Bournemouth and the other three in London.

Brand did not talk to journalists when he reached the court with dark sunglasses, a suit jacket, a black -collar shirt open under his chest and black jeans. In his right hand, he grabbed a copy of the “Vision Valley”, a collection of Puritan sentences.

In a five -minute prayer video he published Monday on social networks, Brand wrote: “Jesus, thanks for saving my life.”

When the charges were announced last month, he said he thanked the opportunity to demonstrate his innocence.

“He was a fool before living in the Light of the Lord,” he said in a video of social networks. “I was a drug addict, a sex addict and a moron. But what I was never a rapist. I have never involved in non -consensual activities. Gold so you can see that looking in my eyes.”

Brand is accused of raping a woman in a hotel room in Bournemouth when she attended a conference of the 1999 Labor Party and brought him together with him in an event he acted. The woman claimed that this brand undressed while she was in the bathroom and when she returned to the room, pushed her to bed, she took her underwear and raped her.

A second woman said that the brand grabbed her from the forearm and tried to drag her to a men’s bath at a television station in London in 2001.

The third accuser was a television employee who met the brand at a birthday party in a bar in 2004, where he allegedly grabbed his breasts before taking her to a bathroom and forcing her to perform oral sex.

The final accuser worked at a radio station and met with the brand while working in a spin-off of the “Big Brother” reality program between 2004 and 2005. He said that Brand grabbed her by the face with both hands, pushed her against a wall and kissed her before the breasts and the buttocks.

News does not name the victims of alleged sexual violence, and the British law protects their identity from life media.
