London – The London Metropolitan Police accused the comedian and actor Russell Brand of a position of rape, oral violation and indecent aggression and two other positions of sexual assault, the police force said on Friday.

British detectives have said that they began investigating the television star in September 2023 after “receiving a series of accusations, which followed the reports of the Channel 4 offices and the Sunday Times.”

In September 2023, these British media published Four women claims who said they were sexually assaulted or violated by the brand between 2006 and 2013, in the height of their fame.

“Women who have made reports continue to receive the support from specially trained officers. MET investigation remains open and detectives ask anyone who has been affected by this case, or anyone who has information, presents and talk to the police,” said the Superintendent detective of the Metropolitan Police Andy Furphy in a statement on Friday.

Police said in a statement that the brand would appear in a London court for a first hearing on May 2.

The authorities in London told News that the police accused Brand through the “postal application, so it is not in custody.”

He had to remain free on bail until his appearance in court.

Brand has vehemently denied all accusations of inappropriate sexual behavior. News has asked the former comedian representatives of any new reaction to the charges announced on Friday.
