F1 Star Max Verstappen creates controversy with dangerous contact at George Russell during the Spanish Grand Prix

The Formula 1 Max Verstappen star created a stir in the waning moments of Sunday’s Spanish Grand Prix, since it seemed to make contact with the driver with the driver George Russell.

The problem began in the restart with about four laps to go in the race. Verstappen was trying to capture some speed, but stood aside in the front stretch. He saved his car to turn and crash, but Charles Leclerc was able to surround him. Leclerc and Verstappen touched briefly when the Ferrari corridor moved around the Red Bull driver.

While Leclerc approached Verstappen, Russell was also in the Austrian’s tail. Russell was inside Verstappen in the first turn and Red Bull Racer was forced to leave the track. It ended in front of Russell at the moment. The repetition showed that Verstappen and Russell made contact.

Then, his team told Verstappen to let Russell pass it to relieve any possible concern about whether he illegally put in front of the Mercedes driver.

On lap 64, it seemed that Verstappen was going to let Russell pass, but the two ended up contacting the wheel to the wheel. Russell retreated and Verstappen came forward.
