The Democrat asks Trump if Elon Musk was taking drugs in the White House

Washington – Democrats want to know if President Donald Trump once noticed that his former advisor Elon Musk used drugs while working at the White House.

The representative Stephen Lynch (Mass.), The main democrat of the Supervision Committee of the House of Representatives, asked Trump in a letter on Wednesday about Recent reports That musk used ketamine, ecstasy and psychedelic fungi during the 2024 presidential campaign.

“The drastic and erratic nature of the decisions and actions of Mr. Musk as an employee of the Government, together with the reports of its drug use, raises the question of whether Mr. Musk was under the influence of illicit substances while working in his White House,” Lynch wrote in his letter.

“The American people deserve to know if Mr. Musk was under influence while he happily took a ‘chainsaw’ to our federal government,” Lynch wrote.

Musk served as a special government employee who directed the so -called Efficiency Department of the Trump Government, an initiative aimed at addressing the wasteful spending. Musk and his team identified a small fraction of the $ 2 billion supposedly wasteful expenses that once boasted that he would eliminate.

Many of the efforts of the Dogs team, including massive shots, supposedly inappropriate access to confidential data systems and wholesale elimination of federal agencies, have been tied in court. In February, Musk happily exercised a chainsaw on stage at a political conference, describing it as a symbol of its efforts to destroy the federal bureaucracy.

Lynch pressed for the first time to the White House for Musk’s National Security Questionnaire Formwhich includes questions about the use of illicit drugs, after The New York Times reported Last week, that Musk drug habit “went far beyond occasional use.” The story did not detail Musk’s drug use while working in the White House.

“Given their prominent role in the Trump administration, the American people deserve to know the history and scope of Mr. Musk’s drug use and any influence that illicit drugs may have had on their efforts to dismantle illegally and recklessly to our government,” Lynch wrote. “If Mr. Musk is struggling with substance abuse, we hope he receives the aid and treatment he needs.”

The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comments from News themezone.

Musk has denied being a drug user and said the Times was lying. He said that once Ketamine had been prescribed a few years ago, something about what he had previously been open. “It helps out of dark mental holes, but has not taken it since then,” Musk wrote on social networks.

The Democrats have encouraged Musk’s turn against the bill, which combines tax cuts and medicaid and expand federal budget deficits, unlike Doge’s mission to improve government finances.

Lynch works as the main Democrat in the Supervision Committee led by Republicans temporarily after the death of representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA.).
