Barack Obama says that the silent part aloud with an unimaginable Trump comparison
Barack Obama did not need to appoint Donald Trump on Thursday to hit how conservatives treated their time in the Oval office compared to the current president.
“It is unimaginable that the same parties that are silent now would have tolerated behavior like that of me or a lot of my predecessors,” Obama said while, according to the reports, I applauded in a speech in Hamilton College in Clinton, New York.
The former president, in a speech that attendees were forbidden to register, referred to the Trump administration attacks against law firms, as well as financing threats to universities, which have been fed by statements that schools do not protect Jewish students from anti -Semitism.
The speech was detailed by the writer/editor of CNN Politics David Wright in a thread on X, previously Twitter.
Obama, according to Wright’s summary, continued: “Imagine if I had said laws [ACA] or Iran’s agreement. “
He added: “Imagine if I had done some of this. I imagine that I had taken the News credentials from the White House press body.”
Obama made an apparent wink to a double long -term standard that was compared to Trump, particularly in the ex -president’s tanned suit in 2014.
Until now, in his second term, Trump has threatened foreign countries with tariffs, which led the actions to be taken on Thursday, and has started the points of sale, including News, from the press pool of the White House to his taste.

Obama said he does not believe that the last round of Trump tariffs do well for the United States before pointing out that he is “more worried” by a federal government “that threatens universities if they do not renounce students who exercise their right to freedom of expression.”
