Donald Trump says he is very disappointed with Elon Musk as Rift grows

Washington – President Donald Trump broke his silence with Elon Musk on Thursday after the harsh criticism of former White House advisor about Trump’s characteristic legislation in Capitol Hill. And things got ugly fast.

In a matter of hours, the two allies in time were exchanging insults on social networks, and Trump finally threatened to cancel government contracts for the various Musk companies.

“The easiest way to save money in our budget, billions and billions of dollars, is to rescind Elon’s subsidies and government contracts,” Trump wrote in Truth Social. “I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!”

Musk responded immediately: “such an obvious lie. Very sad.” A few minutes later, he said that Trump’s name is in the FBI files related to the series sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

“That is the real reason why they have not been made public,” Musk wrote.

Musk continued to suggest that Trump should be accused, while Trump’s allies asked Musk to be deported.

Many people in Washington had predicted that the Trump musco joke would not end well, and yet their dispute remains a shocking rape after a year in which Musk donated millions to Trump’s campaign and became a main advisor in the White House.

In the earliest comments on Thursday, Trump said he was surprised by Musk’s criticism to the so -called Big Big Beautiful Bill.

“Elon and I had a great relationship. I don’t know if we’ll do it,” Trump said.

“He has not said badly about me personally, but I’m sure that will be the next one. But I am very disappointed with Elon. I have helped Elon a lot.”

The legislation combines more than $ 4 billion in tax cuts and new expenses with less than $ 2 billion in cuts to federal food and health programs, for a net deficit of more than $ 2 billions. Musk has called the bill as an “unpleasant abomination” and said that Congress should kill him due to its impact of deficit.

Trump said Musk had not criticized him personally.

“I prefer that I criticize the bill because the bill is incredible,” Trump said. “It is the biggest cut in the history of our country.”

The president had notably avoided commenting on Musk since Tuesday, when Musk sat for the first time in the legislation. Thursday’s comments occurred during the president’s first public event with journalists this week, a meeting with the Chancellor of Germany at the Oval office. Trump said that Musk did not like how the draft Phases the Green Energy Fiscal Credits that benefit their electric car, Tesla company.

“Elon is upset because we took the mandate of EV and, you know, it was a lot of money for electric vehicles,” Trump said. “And you know, they are having a bad time, electric vehicles, and they want us to pay billions of dollars in subsidy.”

Musk immediately responded in a series of publications on his social media website.

“Whatever. Keep the EV/Solar incentive cuts on the invoice, even though it is not touched on oil and gas subsidies (very unfair!), But leave the mountain of disgusting meat on the bill,” Musk wrote. He also denied Trump’s statement that he knew what was in the bill before approved the Chamber. Senate Republicans are modifying the bill, and a final version needs to clear both cameras before it can become law.

In Capitol Hill, the Republicans have said this week that they did not believe that Musk’s opposition would damage the possibilities of the bill. They also did not agree that Musk is motivated by how legislation would affect their companies.

“It’s total Bs,” said representative Eric Burlison (R-Mo.) News themezone on Wednesday. “I think he sacrificed a tremendous amount because he has a political compass and suggesting that he is acting in his own interest at this time is really just a talk of Washington Swamp.”

Senator John Kennedy (R-La.), When asked about the fight between Trump and Musk, said: “I have a rule, I never entered between a dog and a fire hydrant.” He did not provide any details about who the dog is and who the hydrant is.

The representative Aaron Bean (R-Fla.), President of the Dogus Caucus House, essentially a section of cheerleaders for the so-called Efficiency Department of the Musk government, seemed annoyed by the break.

“It hurts,” said Bean. “It hurts when two friends fight. And I hate seeing him.”

In his comments on Thursday, Trump also suggested that Musk was upset that the White House rejected his favorite candidate to direct NASA. Then he commented on the bruise on Musk’s face when he appeared with Trump at the Oval office for a farewell meeting last week.

“I said: ‘Do you want a little makeup? We will make you a little makeup.’ But he said: ‘No, I don’t think so.’ Which is interesting and very pleasant.

Trump said he thought that Musk did a good job in his role as Doge head, a Job Musk left last week.

“I think I missed the place. I think he left there, and suddenly, he was not in this beautiful oval office.”

After Trump’s comments, Musk, who spent more than $ 200 million in the Trump campaign, began offering more direct personal criticism.

“Without me, Trump would have lost the elections, the Democrats would control the camera and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk wrote. “Such ingratitude.”

Trump responded on his own social media platform: “Elon was” using thin “, I asked him to leave, I removed his EV mandate that forced everyone to buy electric cars that nobody else wanted (who knew for months what he was going to do!), And he went crazy!”

The president of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson (R-La.), Said he had not been able to reach Musk by phone.

“I have tried to talk to Elon again and again, you know, and talk to him about what I think are wrong concepts that he has about this bill and what he is,” Johnson told reporters.
