A theater season defined by exciting dramas, squeaky musicals and even a last minute controversy came to an end on Sunday with the Tony 2025 awards, the biggest night in Broadway.

The great winner of the night was “Happy Ending”, which collected a total of six awards, including the best musical and the best actor in a musical for one of his main stars, Darren Criss.

As for the race very scrutinized by the best actress in a musical, Nicole Scherzinger triumphed over her alleged alleged leader Audra McDonald. Meanwhile, Cole Escola continued his “Oh, Mary!” The return of the victory collecting the best actor in a play, becoming the first non-binary winner in the category, while the best work was for the drama “Purpose” of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins.

This year’s ceremony was organized by Cynthia Erivo, a winner of Tony of “The Color Purple” who challenged gravity on the big screen like Elphaba in the film adaptation of “Wicked” last year. There was no Power Star’s shortage from Hollywood, with the best actress in a work winner Sarah Snoak among those who exhibited her talents on the New York stage this year.

For many spectators, the highlight of the night was an epic potpourri of “Hamilton” songs, played by Lin-Manuel Miranda, Leslie Odom Jr., Renée Elise Goldsberry, Jonathan Groff and other members of the original cast to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the musical.
