Trace Cyrus, the son of the country musician Billy Ray Cyrus, continues to insinuate family discord, even when his father seems to be happily in the middle of a new relationship.

On Tuesday, Trace Cyrus shared an Instagram post in which he accused the two -time Grammy winner of skipping his maternal grandmother’s funeral.

“This man is so hungry for fame that he is pathetic,” he wrote along with a photo of Billy Ray Cyrus. “It really flew to Italy for a fashion parade, but did not come to Los Angeles because of Mammie’s funeral while she was still married to my mother. Even after her daughter got a private jet of 60k as she demanded, then she still didn’t come after she paid the plane.”

Going directly to his father, Trace Cyrus added: “You are the most unfortunate man than ever walking through the land of the planet. Honestly ashamed of having considered my idol. The best thing about your fall is that it made me go to the beast mode. I refuse to be a washed person, delusional and evil when I am old like you.”

A Billy Ray Cyrus representative declined to comment on Trace Cyrus’s comments.

In addition to Trace Cyrus, Billy Ray Cyrus shares four more children, including the daughters Miley and Noah Cyrus, with ex -wife Tish Cyrus.

Tish Cyrus’s mother, Loretta Finley, died in 2020 at age 85, according to USA Today. Tish and Billy Ray Cyrus divorced in 2022 after 28 years of marriage.

Trace Cyrus, who is also a musician, has hinted at a departure from his father on numerous occasions.

“We are all clinging to the memories of the man we once met and waiting for the day he returned,” he wrote at that time. “You are not healthy, dad and everyone is noticing.”

The publication of Trace Cyrus arrives only a few days after Miley Cyrus shrugged rumors of a tense relationship with her father while appearing in the “The Interview” podcast of the New York Times.

“As I aged, I respect my parents as individuals instead of how parents, because my mother really loved my father throughout her life,” he explained. “And I think being married to someone in the music industry and not being part of it is obviously, really difficult.”

These days, Billy Ray Cyrus seems to be enjoying her time with the bride Elizabeth Hurley almost two months after she communicated with her romance on social networks.

On Tuesday, the musician recognized Hurley’s 60th birthday with a sincere publication on Instagram, writing: “Happy birthday to the love of my life.”
