The Panthers are the first team since the Lightning of Tampa Bay to defend their title, since they won in 2020 and 2021.
Reinhart, who scored in games 3-5, was a man in a mission since the beginning of this as evident for his first goal of the game, which gave the Panthers an early advantage.
He flew to the Edmonton area, stole Evan Bouchard’s album, deviated from Mattias Ekholm with an ingenious movement and shot a shot beyond Stuart Skinner as he went down to ice. Everything was in a blur, but the celebration was an emphatic roar of Reihart when the local crowd entered a frenzy.
Then, with only seconds left to play in the first period, Eetu Luostarinen brought the album to the offensive zone and was extremely patient while surveying his teammates running with him. Matthew Tkachuk, who has a flare due to the dramatic in these great games, entered behind him and passed a shot that passes through Skinner to take a dominant 2-0 advantage after one.

Things were silent in the second period, since both teams exchanged blows in the offensive end, but was in vain. The shots were in favor of Edmonton, who knew they needed to take something to the network to carry impulse by his side.
But a strange shot by Carter Verhaeghe took a rebound from Skinner’s body, landing right on the stick of Captain Aleksander Barkov, who sent him directly to Reinhart for the deviation to the network.
A 3-0 deficit in a game that must win was a murderer for Edmonton, and they could not recover as they did previously in this series.
They emptied the network with more than six minutes to play in the third period with that 3-0 hole still intact. It was then that the Panthers made a point to find Reinhart, who not only assured his Hat Trick, but added one more of the tables to put the 5-0.
The oilers were able to get on the board with the reverse shot Vasily Podkolzin that spoiled the laundering of Sergei Bobrovsky.
But that did not ruin the anguish that the whole team had, knowing that the work was done, and the Cup stayed in Florida. The Panthers rushed to ice before the final horn exploded, as the celebration occurred.

Meanwhile, with another loss of Oilers, a Canada team has not won the Stanley Cup since the Montreal Canadiens of 1993.
