The dream moment of a 13 -year -old boy with Simon Cowell quickly reached a bitter note, and took an awkward turn.

Chase varnes, which comes from The island of Vancouver in the Canadian province of British Columbia, risked to fulfill his dreams in an episode of “America’s Got Talent” Tuesday. But that triumph melody slid briefly to a minor key.

Varnes took the stage, the guitar in his hand and began to touch a melodic melody, only to be cut in half the performance by Cowell.

“I didn’t love the song,” Cowell said, with the room echoing in shock.

Even so, the notoriously sharp judge softened the blow, clarifying that while the song itself touched a wrong chord, he enjoyed the tone and presence of the young artist. Then he asked the singer if “had another song?”

Without losing the rhythm, Varnes turned to “Life Wits” by Ed Sheeran and soon became a favorite of the crowd. But a standing ovation could not solve the suspense that occurred when the musician faced the judges panel.

“You know, you remind me of a young Justin Bieber,” said his partner Judge Howie Mandel to the artist, who lit up with a smile on his face.

Judge Sophia Vergara also sang the praises of varnes, and agreed with Cowell’s previous suggestion to change songs.

Then, it was the turn of Mel B in the microphone.

“You were great,” said former Spice Girl. “You are a raw diamond. You have a lot of potential. But I can see your nervousness. You are not yet there for me.”

The pop star met a resonant boo of the crowd, and then came the votes of the judges.

Mandel and Vergara gave enthusiasts yes, while Mel B remained firm with a no. The future of varnes in the competition was reduced to Cowell’s vote.

“Sometimes we have people of your age, and I am a bit like, ‘ok, I will be a little friendlier because you are young,'” Cowell said. “You, I really think you have something.”

Then he told Vennes: “You have everything for you, and the public loved you, that’s why you will get three yes.”
