Critics point out a dazzling contradiction in Trumps post of Iran regime change
President Donald Trump caused disbelief on social networks on Sunday, even from Republicans, after seeming to request the change of regime in Iran.
In a publication about his real social platform, the president wrote:
“It is not politically correct to use the term, ‘regime change’, but if the current Iranian regime cannot cause Iran to be great again, why wouldn’t there be a regime change?
Social truth
The post surprised critics, especially given that the high officials of the Trump administration, including vice president JD Vance and defense secretary Pete Hegseth, had previously dismissed the idea of expelling Iran’s leaders.
Instead, US attacks had been caused in Iranian nuclear sites as aimed at stopping only the development of nuclear weapons.
The conservative lawyer George Conway, a Trump vocal critic, summarized it sarcastically: “Fain being an ignorant and impulsive sociopath apparently inventing the shit as it advances is only the way in which the chess of 7,822 dimensions.”
