Michael Cera says that Tom Cruise once called him for

Michael Cera says they once told him to put on the set, for nothing less than Tom Cruise.

The “Superbad” star sat in “The Louis Theroux Podcast” earlier this week to promote her new movie “The Phoenician Scheme”, and barely remembered having worked with Cruise for a sketch in 2010, until the host reminded him, and the memories began to arrive.

“I’ve worked with Tom, that’s crazy,” he continued. “I worked with Tom. I did it completely, yes. They were the MTV Movie Awards, and I don’t even know if you’ve seen them, but they liked the funny introduction, the things in the movie, the video things they did, they pretended fun things.”

Cruise filmed several character sketches such as Les Grossman, the chief of vulgar and fictional study who performed in “Tropic Thunder” (2008). Some of these parodies, which presented rising stars cameos at that time, such as Robert Pattinson, are still available on YouTube.

“The first moment I had with him, I arrived, were filming and was talking to the writer, the guy who was writing these scripts about the thing,” Ceraux said. “We were muttering while they shot, but they could listen to us.”

“I was just 40 feet away,” he continued. “And Tom Cruise looks at me, I have never met him, and they are in the middle of a shot, and he looks and says: ‘Is that Michael Cera talking during a damn shot?’ I was joking, but it was also like, shut up. ”

Wax said that a later conversation with the star “Mission: Impossible” confirmed that he was not really angry.

“Then I met him,” Wax told Theoux. “He says: ‘Talking during a damn shot.’ He was like, and he knew he was playing,” it wasn’t me, he was the writer. “He said: ‘I’m joking, I’m joking.’ And I was like, ‘I’m joking, I’m also joking.'”

Cruise was all for the 2010 awards exhibition and even made a live dance routine like Grossman against Jennifer López. He had been a Hollywood favorite since the 1980s, but saw a change of public feeling in the mid -2000s as a result of his association with Scientology.

Since then, Cruise has changed its image with a series of successful “mission” films, public relations and playful appearances in the night interview program. Wax told Theoux that Cruise was extremely professional and “very friendly”, despite the semi-regular rules.

“Tom directs the set,” he added. “I was really there for five minutes, but what I observed was that he was like the first announcement [assistant director] On the set … he said: ‘We shoot this way first, he has to take a flight, we will get it and then we will get to that’ “.

“I mean, he was a leader,” Wax recalled.
