Police said Roberts acquired expensive accessories during his term in jewelry, when he was carrying articles with her and said suspicious colleagues that he was “classifying stocks” for the store in his residence.

Roberts left his job in the store after a year as manager, police said. Then, from a cruise, he sent selfies to his former co -workers who imagined it with luxury jewels, that the staff did not believe he had bought.

“Without worrying in the world, dripping in diamonds, thinking that he had cheated everyone, Roberts posed arrogantly on social networks and sent photos with his former colleagues about the great moment he had on vacation, without thinking that they would realize what he had been doing,” said the sergeant. Krista Wilkinson, Humberside police detective, in a statement.

A police investigation discovered that Roberts had falsified the inventory of shares and made fraudulent returns to the store, which caused a search in his house where some stolen jewels were found. More than 260 articles “scattered in boxes under the bed and in the cabinets were discovered,” said Humberside police.

The officers arrested Roberts at Heathrow airport in London when he returned from the cruise. According to the police, he wore stolen jewels, and found more in his suitcase. They said that the images of the body worn from the body showed Roberts at the airport trying to remove and get rid of their jewels.

Roberts denied the accusations of theft, according to the police.
