Dharamshala, India -The Dalai Lama said Wednesday that the Centennial Tibetan Buddhist institution will continue after his death, ending years of speculation that began when he indicated that he could be the last person to occupy the role. Having a successor would mean that it would be reincarnated.

The spiritual boss of Tibetan Buddhism winner of Nobel Peace said in the celebrations of the prayer before his next 90th birthday that the next Dalai Lama must be found and recognized according to the past Buddhist traditions, while it is indicated that China should remain away from the identification process of its successor.

Dalai Lama’s succession plan is politically consistent for most Tibetans who oppose the strict control of China on Tibet and have fought to keep their identity alive, in their homeland or in exile. It is also deep for Tibetan Buddhists who adore him as a living manifestation of Chenrezig, the Buddhist god of compassion.

However, the IRK decision to China is expected to have repeatedly said that it only has the authority to approve the next religious leader. He insists that the reincarnated figure must be found in the Tibetan areas of China, giving the communist authorities to whom he is chosen.

Many observers believe that eventually there will be rival Dalai Lamas, one designated by Beijing, and another of the major monks loyal to the current Dalai Lama.

And China said Wednesday that the reincarnation of the Dalai Lama “approved by the Central Government,” said the spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MAO NO, a regular news conference.

Tenzin Gyatso became the fourteen reincarnation of the Dalai Lama in 1940. He fled the Tibet when the Chinese troops crushed an uprising in the Tibetan capital Lhas Tibetan people

Tibetan Buddhists believe that Dalai Lama can choose the body in which it is reincarnated, as has happened 14 times since the creation of the institution in 1587. It has reiterated in the past that its successor would be born outside China.

The Dalai Lama presented its succession plan in an recorded statement that was televised in a religious meeting of Buddhist monks in Dharamshala. He said that the process of finding and recognizing his reincarnation lies only in the Gaden Phodrang Trust, a non -profit organization that founded in 2015 that supervises issues related to the spiritual leader and the Institute of Dalai Lama.

“No one else has such authority to interfere with this matter,” he said, adding that the search for a future Dalai Lama should be carried out in “according to the past tradition.”

The Dalai Lama has often urged his followers to reject anyone chosen by Beijing. The self -proclaimed government in Tibetan exile that once addressed before giving up its political role in 2011 also supports this position.

Penpa Tsering, president of the Government in exile, said that Tibetans from all over the world made “a sincere request with determined devotion” that the position of the Dalai Lama should continue “for the benefit of all sensory beings in general and Buddhists in particular.”

“In response to this overwhelming supplication, his holiness has shown an infinite compassion and finally agreed to accept our appeal on this special occasion of his 90 birthday,” he said at a press conference.

However, Tsering warned China that it did not know the process of the succession of Dalai Lama, saying that it is a “unique Tibetan Buddhist tradition.”

“Not only do we firmly condemn the use of the reincarnation subject of the People’s Republic of China for its political benefit, and we will never accept it,” he said.

The search for a reincarnation of Dalai Lama begins only to the death of the headline.

In the past, the successor has been identified by superior monastic disciples, based on spiritual signs and visions, and can take several years after the next Dalai Lama is identified as a baby and prepares to take the reins.
