Michael Madsen, who starred in the reservoir and killed Bill, dead at age 67
Michael Madsen, who starred in “Reservoir Dogs” and “Once Upon to Time in Hollywood”, among other successful films, died. He was 67 years old.
According to multiple reports, the actor was declared dead at his home in Malibu, California, the authorities who had responded to a 911 call. The whole life manager Ron Smith confirmed that the cause was a cardiac arrest.
In a statement issued to NBC Los Angeles, the Smith managers, Susan Ferris and the publicist Liz Rodríguez described Madsen as “one of Hollywood’s most emblematic actors, which many will miss for many.”
“In the last two years, Michael Madsen has been doing incredible job with an independent film, including the next films ‘Resurrection Road’, ‘Concessions’ and ‘Cookbook for Southern Housewives’, and I really expected this next chapter in his life,” reads the statement. “Michael was also preparing to launch a new book called ‘Tears for My Father: Outlaw thoughts and poems’, currently edited.”
Madsen, a native of Chicago, had his professional beginning at the Steppenwolf theater company in 1980, where he served as John Malkovich’s apprentice. His first remarkable role was the 1983 science fiction thriller “Wargames”, starring Matthew Broderick.
Madsen’s leading role occurred in 1992, when the threatened Mr. Blonde starred in the debut as director of Quentin Tarantino, “Reserveir Dogs”. His professional relationship with Tarantino continued with “Kill Bill: Vol. 1” of 2003, “Kill Bill: Vol. 2” of 2004, “The Hateful Eight” of 2015 and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” of 2019.

Other notable credits include “Thelma & Louise” of 1991, “Donnie Brasco” of 1997 and “without City” of 2005. In addition to his work work, Madsen was a published poet and consummate photographer.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter in 2018, Madsen went to his ability to inhabit hard -of -type roles, joking that “he had been more credible than he should have been.”
“I am sure that hell had my agitation days, but sooner or later you have to overcome that and move on,” he said. “I guess it’s part of the entire package of bad boys. But I prefer to have a movie like ‘Reservoir dogs’ than not having it.”

He continued to observe: “There are many actors who are much more recognized or famous than me, who are paid much more than me that have not even made a movie that they remember. So I feel blessed and fortunate that, whatever it has done, I have made a couple of films that will be for a long time and that respect me. And I still have their work.”
Madsen is survived by Sister Virginia Madsen, an actor schoolboy who received an Oscar nomination for “Sideways” of 2004, and sister Cheryl Madsen, a businesswoman.
I was married three times and had six children. The son Christian Madsen, 35, is an actor whose credits include “Palo Alto” of 2013 and “Divergent” of 2014. The son Hudson Madsen died for suicide in 2022, at age 26.
