Julian McMahon, the actor known for his leading papers in “Nip/Tuck” and “Charmed”, died after a private battle against cancer. He was 56 years old.
In a statement to News themezone, his wife, Kelly McMahon, said he died peacefully this week “after a brave effort to overcome cancer.”
“Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his job and loved his fans,” he said. “His deepest desire was to bring joy to as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to cry in privacy. And we want all those to whom Julian brought joy, continue to find joy in life. We are grateful for memories.”

McMahon was born in Sydney, Australia, on July 27, 1968. His father, Billy McMahon, served as Prime Minister of Australia from 1971 to 1972.
McMahon began his career as an actor with a main role in the short Australian television program of 1989 “The Power, The Passion” and made his debut as an actor in the 1992 Australian-American film “Wet And Wild Summer!”
He moved to Hollywood and went to make appearances in the diurnal soap of NBC “another world” and was a regular series about the criminal drama “Profiler”.
Then he joined the popular WB program, “Charmed”, playing the role of Demon Cole Turner and the love interest of Phoebe Halliwell of Alyssa Milano.
“I am disconsolate,” Milano wrote in an Instagram post in honor of her television husband. “Julian McMahon was magical. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He entered a room and lit it, not only with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With a moving understanding.”
“We spent years together in Charmed, the years of scenes, stories and so many intermediate moments. It made me feel safe as an actor. Seen as a woman. He challenged me, he mocked me, supported me,” Milano added. “We were very different and yet we always understood each other.”
“Julian was more than my television husband. He was a dear friend. The guy who registered. Of the guy he remembers. The guy who shares. The guy who tells you the truth, even when he is uncomfortable, but always with love.”

After three seasons in “Charmed”, McMahon got the role of Dr. Christian Troy in the successful drama of Ryan Murphy’s plastic surgery “Nip/Tuck.” The paper earned McMahon a Golden Globe nomination.
After six seasons in “Nip/Tuck”, he starred “FBI: Most Wanced” of News for three seasons.
His feature film curriculum includes the role of Dr. Doom in two “Fanther” Movies “, Premonition”, “Red,” Paranoia “,” Swinging Safari “and, more recently,” The Surfer “of 2024 with Nicolas Cage.
The final role of McMahon was in the series of Mysteries of Killer’s murder “The Residence”, where he played the role of the Australian Prime Minister.
