The memorandum also said that it was confirmed that Epstein had damaged more than 1,000 victims, and that the files reviewed by officials of the Department of Justice included more than 10,000 “videos downloaded and images of illegal material of child sexual abuse and other pornography.”
“One of our highest priorities is to combat child exploitation and bring justice to the victims,” said the memorandum. “Perpetuating unfounded theories about Epstein does not serve any of those ends.”
The conclusion that Epstein did not have a rumored “customer list” directly contradicts the comments of the attorney general Pam Bondi in February, in which he told News that he was in possession of such a list and ready to review it as part of “a directive of President Trump.”
