Sharmed eye spectators are calling “and only so …” by HBO Max, so it seems to be a great hole in the plot that involves one of the main characters of the program, despite the fact that a source close to the program states that it is not the case.

The episode last week of the Renaissance series “Sex and the City”, titled “Silent mode”, found Lisa Todd Wexley (played by Nicole Ari Parker) learning that her father, Lawrence Todd, has died of a stroke. During much of the episode, Lisa Lidia with her guilt for not spending more time with her father before her death while disagreeing with her father’s old friend and colleague, Lucille Highwater (Jenifer Lewis), about the plans for the funeral.

However, some fans quickly pointed out that Lisa had already approached her father’s death in an episode of season 1 while arguing the death of Mr. Big (Chris Noth).

“It was exactly the same way when I lost my dad last year. I could see my rings literally trembling in my hands while trying to be strong,” Lisa tells Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Kristin Davis) on the scene, of which they have been circulating widely on social networks.

Perhaps even more confusingly, Lawrence Todd appeared on the screen in season 2 of “and only so …”, where he was memorably portrayed by the “Star Wars” icon Billy Dee Williams.

It is not surprising that the online reaction was fast. Although some have suggested that The creators had the intention of Lisa had two parents, many felt that it was more likely that a warehouse of the writers room.

“This program lacks basic continuity. Do you get new writers for each episode? Don’t actors not collect it?” A person wrote on Tiktok.

Another wrote in X: “Maybe it’s a situation of Mamma Mia and she has three parents? You don’t know.”

However, for Monday night, a member of the production team “and only that …” clarified Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly, among other points of sale, that the “father” that Lisa referred to in season 1 was actually her stepfather, not her biological father.

It remains to be seen if an explanation of such a head will be sufficient to quell the criticisms of the “silent mode”, and in a similar way, only time will say if Lisa’s father or stepfather will be mentioned on “and so on …” in the future. However, the program, already divisive among SATC devotees for a long time, has been called previous occasions for continuity errors.

In season 2, Charlotte’s husband, Harry Goldenblatt (Evan Handler), alluded to his mother that “he has been dead for 10 years.” This statement contradicts Harry’s previous comments about his mother in an episode of “sex and the city”, during which he remembered having promised his mother in his deathbed that would marry a Jewish woman, which led Charlotte to become Judaism.
