The new supporting documents, the claim triumphs, the DOJ told lawyers to tell the judges

Washington-New documents published Thursday by Senator Dick Durbin (D-Bill.) Supports the claims of a complainant that President Donald Trump’s judicial candidate, Emil Bove, directed an effort within the Department of Justice to deceive a federal court and disobey judicial orders.

Bove, who is currently the Associated Deputy Attorney General of the United States and is also nominated for a life seat in the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit, faces serious accusations of the former lawyer of the Department of Justice Erez Reuveni, who last month last month He filed a complaint claiming that Bove told the lawyers of the Department of Justice to “fuck” the judges who ruled against them.

Reuveni was a 15 -year -old very praised lawyer in the Department of Justice until he was fired in April, after sincerely affirmed in the Court that the Trump administration had unfairly retired the resident of Maryland, Kilmar Abrego García, to El Salvador.

His complaint claims that, during a meeting of March 14 with the leadership of the DOJ, Bove told them that “they would have to consider telling the courts” fuck him “and ignore” any court order that prevents them from moving away the immigrants of the country under the law of alien enemies enemies. He also alleges that the deputy attorney general attracted the badge deliberately to the Court that heard the case of the elimination, and that Reuveni was repeatedly pressed to lie before the court and finally triggered for refusing to do so.

Bove, which was previously Trump personal lawyerHe was pressed on these accusations at his judicial nomination hearing before the Judicial Committee of the Senate last month. He told the senators that “he cannot remember” to do any of the things that Reuveni has accused him of doing. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has called Reuveni’s claims “Completely false.”

But on Thursday, Durbin, the main democrat of the committee, published text messages, email exchanges and other documents that corroborate the accusations of Reuveni. They include communications that show the fruitless efforts of Reuveni to ensure that the Department of Justice complied with the judicial orders and transmitted the uselessness of their efforts, since the senior officials of the Department of Justice make it clear that they do not plan to comply with the judicial orders.

The documents also include internal messages related to the alleged comments of Bove on March 14 about telling the federal courts “Jódete”.

“This does not end with anything but a court order at the national level,” writes Reuveni in an March 15 text exchange with a colleague. “And a decision point in shit.”

These communications show “that the Department of Justice cheated on a federal court and ignored a court order,” Durbin said in a statement, and shows that Bove “headed this effort, which demanded that lawyers violate their ethical duty of frankness before the court.”

Bove nomination is eligible for a vote at the next executive business meeting of the Senate Judicial Committee, which could come as soon as next week.

“These episodes can only lead to a conclusion: Emil Bove does not belong to any part of the Federal Bank,” Durbin said. “This vote will be a evidence of fire for the Senate’s judicial republicans. This is more than a random F bomb. This is a declaration of challenge to our courts at the highest level of our government by a man who now seeks a life appointment for one of the highest courts of our land.”

When comments on recently published documents were requested, the White House provided exactly the same statement that gave News themezone for another story about Bove last month.

“Emil Bove is an incredibly talented legal mind and a firm defender of the Constitution of the United States who will be an excellent judge of the circuit court,” said White House spokesman Harrison Fields.

“Bove is undoubtedly qualified for paper and has a career full of praise, both academically and throughout his legal career, that should turn it into a drown-in for the third circuit,” he said. “The president is committed to nominate the constitutionalists to the bank that will restore the law and order and end the weapons of the justice system, and Emil Bove fits perfectly to that molding.”

Attorney General Pam Bondi dismissed Reuveni’s claims on social networks, calling him a “discontent employee” and “a filter that affirms false claims that seek five minutes of fame.”

“And nobody was asked to challenge a court order,” Bondi wrote. “This is another instance of misinformation that is spreading to serve a narrative that does not align with the facts.”

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), president of the Senate Judicial Committee, said his staff will review the new documents, but at first glance, they do not seem incriminatory.

“Mr. Bove was very clear when he said under oath at his hearing that he never told anyone not to follow a court order,” Grassley said in a statement.

“Everything about the way this has been handled on the other side beaten in bad faith,” said Iowa’s Republican. “If the Democrats took this process seriously, they would not have sent me these documents less than an hour before freeing them to the media. That for me shows that they are playing politics.”
