According to the reports, the deputy director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, threatens to quit smoking after a dispute with the attorney general Pam Bondi about the management of the Department of Justice of the Jeffrey Epstein case, saying that he is he or her.

According to several reports of the media that emerged on Friday, Bongino and Bondi had a discussion at a meeting on Wednesday after the attorney general accused him of filtering stories to the media that the FBI was not happy that Epstein’s case was closed. Bondi allegedly made the accusations against the director of the FBI Kash Patel and other high -ranking officials.

“Bongino is out of furious control,” said a person who had spoken with him to NBC News on Friday. “This destroyed his career. He is threatening to quit smoking and torches to PAM unless they fired it.”

His clash occurred days after the Department of Justice announced on Monday that a review of Epstein’s case files had not presented any evidence of his alleged list of clients or proof that he had not died for suicide, effectively closing the investigation.

Both CNN and Semafor also reported Friday that Bongino was considering leaving his position.

“He’s gone,” said a source to Bongino Semafor. “It will return if Bondi [is] responsible. “

Axios reported that Bongino did not appear to work on Friday.

In another disagreement last week informed by the New York Times, Bongino supposedly told Bondi that he had overvalued the possibility that the review of the case files unearthed by Epstein’s customer list, potentially exposing the connections of politicians, celebrities and other public figures to the operation of sexual treatment of Epstein.

While intrigue in possible coverss in the case of Epstein, including the possibility that unpublished files can imply some well -known names in criminal activity, it is present throughout the political spectrum, the interest of the right in the case depends on the belief that Epstein files could legitimize the statements of a “deep state” structure that operates within the government to demolish President Donald Trump.

Bongino, who was a popular conservative podcast before Trump took advantage of him for his FBI work, was among those who raised questions about Epstein’s death in recent years, saying that someone was “hiding” something.

The White House dismissed fighting reports among the best brasss in the DOJ and the FBI.

“President Trump has gathered a highly qualified and experienced law and order dedicated to protecting Americans, holding criminals responsible and delivering justice to the victims,” said former press secretary Harrison Fields in a statement. “This work is being carried out without problems and with unity. Any attempt to sow division within this team has no basis and distracts the real progress that is done to restore public security and seek justice for all.”
