Huckabee Visit Objective of the Fappain Fouk Attack
The United States ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee visited a Christian village in the West Bank occupied by Israel on Saturday and urged responsibility for an attack against an ancient church, which residents have blamed Israeli settlers.
In early July, the town of Taybeh was beaten by a fire attack in the area of the ruins of the Church of the Byzantine era of San George, which dates back to the 5th century.
The residents blamed the settlers for the fire, which occurs when violence rises in the West Bank and last week he saw an American-Palestinian man Killed near Ramallah.
Until now, Israel has not responded to News themezone information on the incident.

Huckabee, an evangelical Christian and a firm defender of Israel, said his trip to Taybeh aimed to “express solidarity with people who just want to live their lives in peace, to be able to go to their own land, to be able to go to their place of worship.”
“It doesn’t matter if it’s a mosque, a church, a synagogue,” he told reporters.
“It is unacceptable to commit an act of sacrilege desecrating a place that is supposed to be a place of worship.”
“We will certainly insist that those who perform acts of horror and violence in Taybeh or anywhere are processed, not only reprimanded. That is not enough,” he said.
“People need to pay a price to do something that destroys what belongs not only to other people, but what belongs to God.”
In villages and communities around Taybeh, the Palestinian authorities reported that the settlers had killed three people and damaged or destroyed multiple water sources in the last two weeks.
Israel has occupied the West Bank since 1967 and violence has increased in the territory since the attack of Hamas on October 7, 2023, which triggered the Israel-Hamas War.
Huckabee, who for years has been an open defender of Jewish settlement in the Palestinian territories, on Tuesday demanded an aggressive investigation And consequences after the settlers killed a Palestinian-American in the West Bank until death.
It was a sign of rare public pressure against the ally of the United States by the Trump administration.
