Mandy Moore is becoming sincere about the “outdated” opinions he faced, even some health professionals, when he welcomed his third daughter, daughter Louise “Lou” Everett, after turning 40 last year last year.

The actor “This is us” appeared in the podcast “Not Won Gon Lie” by Kylie Kelce last week. In the chat, he explained his problems with the term “geriatric pregnancy”, a label that generally applies to those who become pregnant after 35 years.

“At least in my experience, many of my friends have children later in life, either by choice or for circumstances or biology,” he explained. “I think that with what I had more problems is how this system in general that treats us like this anomaly that we are too old and that we are too complicated or high risk, and really, it is like, ‘no, we are only human beings.’ I feel that it is such an outdated label.”

Moore has been married to Dawes Taylor Goldsmith since 2018. In addition to Lou, the couple shared the children August “Gus” Harrison, 4 years old, and Oscar “Ozzie” Bennett, 2.

In his conversation with Kelce, Moore quickly clarified that his greatest concern after welcoming his daughter last year was more about “the medical care system in general” instead of individual opinions, which caused his recent efforts as a defender of women’s health.

“It feels like such an obsolete approach, unique for everyone, when it comes to women in general,” he said. “We report 50% of the population, we give birth to the entire population. I think that becoming a mother and going through three pregnancies now … Our bodies are treated as a last moment idea.”

Kelce’s conversation with Moore took a more cheerful turn later when Moore played Goldsmith playfully for never seeing Walk To Remember “from 2002, co -starring Shane West.

Based on the 1999 Nicholas Sparks novel, the drama reached theaters only one year after Moore made his debut feature film as a secondary role in “The Princess Diaries”, and helped to prove that it could be a box office raffle in its own right.

“My husband has never seen the movie, I think he lied the other day,” Moore joked. “Maybe one day we have a group visualization with our children when they age, and Taylor can also see it for the first time.”
