Dylan Dreyer, a meteorologist of the “Today” program, announced that she and her 12 -year -old husband, Brian Fichera, are separating.

“For many years I have shared my family with all of you, the ups and downs. He added that he is “incredibly grateful for the support and love you have given me throughout everything.”

“For that reason, I want to share with you that a few months ago, Brian and I made the decision to separate,” he said. “We start as friends, and we will continue to be the closest friends.”

The two, who married in 2012, share three children: Calvin, 8 years old; Oliver, 5; and Russell, 3.

Dreyer made a point to say that the couple “will continue to be co -starring our three wonderful boys along with nothing more than love and mutual respect.”

“Thank you as always for your support,” he said, before signing.

Dreyer’s message had almost 90,000 like for Monday, although Instagram comments were turned off.

Dreyer has usually shared information about his marriage with Fichera, who works as a cameraman and operator for NBC.

In a today.com interview in 2023, the meteorologist said that the two come together to golf and try to talk about the challenges of raising three young children.

“It’s a long time for children. It’s like, ‘Brian, I need to take Oliver to the doctor. I need you to take Calvin to Karate. I’ll see you at dinner!'” Dreyer said at that time. “I don’t want to say that it has had any negative impact on our relationship, we have only strengthened.”

He also revealed in 2022 that the two communicate mainly through the text due to their occupied schedules.

“Our schedules mean that we do not see each other much, but we send text messages all the time,” Dreyer said, explaining that “it is even easier to have an important or deep conversation through the text because we take out all our thoughts without being interrupted.”

“We don’t find it impersonal. In fact, quite the opposite,” he said. “We know each other well enough to understand the tone of others, so much is achieved through text messages!”
