Houston’s stars are bringing an old friend back before the MLB exchange deadline.
The Minnesota Twins have treated the All-Star Swancstop Carlos Correa to the Astros, the team with which he spent his first seven seasons and won a world series in 2017.
There were rumors before the ET exchange deadline of the 6 PM on Thursday that a meeting with Correa and the stars could be on the horizon. However, the agreement appeared dead with the twins, and ESPN reported that a “significant financial gap was joined.”

With Isaac walls outside the season due to an injury, the stars needed a right -handed bat that could play the third base and be better than someone very familiar with the team. According to the reports, Correa renounced his non -trade clause to finish the meeting.
Now what the stars gave the twins so that the treatment happened.

Correa still has remaining years in his six -year contract and $ 200 million that he signed with the twins in 2023 after opting for his original $ 105.3 million contract he signed in 2022. It will be interesting to see how exactly both parties united that financial gap mentioned in the report.
Correa almost joined the San Francisco giants, after accepting a 13 -year contract worth $ 350 million in December 2022. However, the giants canceled their press conference to present Correa in a San Francisco uniform only a few hours before he was scheduled after his physical examination.
According to the reports, the giants were worried about their long -term health after seeing images of the right ankle of Correa, which was surgically repaired in 2014. Then, after dealing with agent Scott Boras, Correa reached an agreement with the New York Mets worth $ 315 for 12 years. Once again, the physical exam scared another team, this time the Mets.

Finally, Correa renegotiated with the twins in their current agreement.
This season, Correa is reducing .267/.352/.465 with 19 doubles, seven homers and 31 races promoted in 93 games. With the twins in complete sale mode, the stars took advantage.
Correa’s time in Houston was successful, although he came with some controversy after winning the World Series in 2017.
The chest trap scandal, which included stealing signs and transmitting them to the batters in real time, forever puts a cloud on the victory of the team that year. Correa was very defensive at the time other main players applauded the stars.
