Katie Ledecky reflects on the Olympic Games in Paris
The United States established the world record in the 4×100 mixed relay on Saturday, marking 3 minutes, 18.48 seconds in the Aquatics World Championship of 2025 in Singapore.
The old record was 3: 18.83 established in 2023 by Australia.

It was only the second world brand set in these championships. A night came when the United States won three gold medals, with much its best performance in what had been a dazzled championship for the team.
Katie Ledecky won the 800 Freestyle and Gretchen Walsh took the 50 -meter butterfly. The Americans now have eight gold medals. The championships close on Sunday.
Despite the gold of the relay, the story was undefeated by Ledecky in the 800 freestyle. First he won that career at the 2012 Olympic Games and has never lost since then in great competition.

After 700 meters, Summer Mcintosh de Canada, 18, was slightly ahead, but faded and Ledecky won in 8: 05.62, with Australia Lani Pallister taking money (8: 05.98), with bronze for McIntosh (8: 07.29).
McIntosh has won three individual gold medals in Singapore and tried five. It will fall short, although it will be the favorite in the 400 individual potpourri of Sunday.
Ledecky said he didn’t know he was dragging. She looked down on a race results sheet to confirm it.
“I didn’t know,” he said. “I just knew that all the way was close. There were times when I thought I was going to separate. I was happy to be there.”
“You never know when you dive what the tactics of all will be, or what will happen,” he added. “It was fun to be in that type of career. Just try to make small movements here and there.”
Ledecky has won 23 gold medals in world championships and 30 in general. Add to those nine Olympic gold medals and 14 Olympic medals in general. If you are counting, there are 44 Olympic and world medals.

Gretchen Walsh of the United States won the 50 butterflies in 24.83 seconds for its second individual gold of the worlds. She won 100. Alexandria Perkins of Australia claimed silver (23.51) with bronze for Roos Vanotterdijk of Belgium (25.43).

“It feels great to be again like me in the water after a rocky week,” Walsh said, referring to “acute gastroenteritis” that Americans have fought in Singapore after a training camp in Thailand.
“Twice world champion. I can’t complain about that,” Walsh added.
The 50 -flip gold medalist from Paris, Cameron Mcevoy of Australia, repeated his title in the worlds, winning in a rapid 21.14. Ben proud of Great Britain was the silver medalist (21.26) and the American Jack Alexy took the bronze (21.46).
The defending champion and head of the world record Kaylee McKeown of Australia won the gold again, taking the back blow of 200 meters in 2: 03.33. The American Regan Smith took his fourth silver medal in Singapore (2: 04.29) with bronze for the American Claire Curzan (2: 06.04).
Maxime Grousset of France picked up his second gold, taking the 100 butterflies in 49.62, right next to the 49.45 world record by American Caeleb Dressel. Noe Ponti from Switzerland took money (49.83) with bronze for the Canadian Ilya Kharun (50.07). Grousset also won the 50s.
