As a shooting survivor in Parkland 2018 and a current student at Florida State University, Stephanie Horowitz recalled having experienced his second mass shooting on Thursday, he told News: “This is America.”

“I never thought it would happen to me the first time, and here we are, and unfortunately, this is the United States for you,” Horowitz told News on Friday.

Horowitz, FSU student and bowling instructor on the campus, said he was in the campus bowling alley on Thursday when his students looked out the window and saw people run.

Horowitz said that when he saw belongings left behind and “open laptops” and “bags on the floor”, he knew what that meant.

“Unfortunately, due to my previous experience, I knew what that meant, and before knowing exactly what was happening, I began to direct everyone to the back room to a safe place until I got more information, but I had the feeling that it was an active shooter situation before listening,” Horowitz told News.
