All options are on the table: the Democratic Governor attacks the GOP Redistricting Power Grab
The governor of Maryland, Wes Moore (D), said “all the options are on the table” when it comes to redistributing and fighting in Texas Gerrymandering of his Map of the Congress to give the Republicans an advantage in the mid -period elections of 2026.

Last month, President Donald Trump said he told Texas Republicans to draw the Map of the State Congress to help the Republican party to maintain its majority of the United States after the middle of the mid -period elections, apparently to avoid what happened in the middle of their first mandate when the Democrats turned the camera. Weeks after Texas Democrats left the state to break the quorum, they returned and the Texas Legislature approved the new map.
On Thursday, the governor of California Gavin Newsom (D) fought against the Trump plan signing a call for a special election in November, at which time the state voters could decide whether to approve a new map of the congress in California that would probably give the Democrats five new seats in Congress.
Moore said “face the nation” that there should be no situations in which politicians choose their voters instead that voters choose their elected officials.
“We need to be able to have fair maps and we must also ensure that if the president of the United States is putting his finger on the scale to try to manipulate the elections because he knows that his policies cannot win in a house of polls, then he considers that each of us to be able to maintain all the options on the table to ensure that the voices of the voters can be heard and that we can have maps and each of us.
After Trump made reference to Baltimore’s crime rates earlier this month while talking about deploying the National Guard in Washington, DC, Moore invited Trump to “walk the streets” with him. Trump responded on Sunday morning in Truth Social, writing that the “registration on Moore’s crime is very bad.”
“But if Wes Moore needs help, as Gavin NewScum did in Los Angeles, I will send to the ‘troops’, which is being done in the near DC, and will quickly clean the crime.” Trump wrote in part.

According to the mayor of Baltimore, the city has seen a historical decrease in violent crimes this year. Moore said in “Face the Nation” that it is against Trump, deploying the National Guard to Maryland, saying that it is not sustainable and that it is unconstitutional.
“It is a direct violation of the tenth amendment and for a part that talks about the rights of states, it is surprising how they are having such a large government approach in the way they carry out public security,” said Moore.
He added that it is a distraction of Trump’s economic policies, which makes everything more expensive and difficult for everyday Americans.
“We know we have a job to do,” said Moore. “If a person does not feel safe in his neighborhood, that’s too much. But we also know what tactics really work and what tactics are just theatics.”
In a comment to News themezone, Abigail Jackson, a White House spokesman, said: “If Democrats P They were having half of time solving the crime problems of their own city that criticized the president for wanting to make the United States again, their voters would be much better. “
