Alyssa Milano honored her former “Charmed” co -star and husband on screen, Julian McMahon, with a moving tribute on Instagram.

McMahon, who portrayed the complicated and dear Cole Turner character of the series, died on July 2 after a battle against cancer. This week, in a moment of memory, Milano shared a tribute rooted in respect and artistic kinship.

“I am disconsolate. Julian McMahon was magical,” he wrote. “That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He entered a room and lit it, not only with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With a moving understanding.”

Milano shared that they were “different”, but somehow “they always understood themselves”, and that “challenged”, “joked” and “supported it.”

“Julian was more than my television husband,” he wrote. “He was a dear friend.”

She described losing it as “unjust and” unreal “emotions, which spoke with the link they shared.

“My heart is with Kelly, with Madison and Iliana, his girls, his world,” he wrote, referring to the family he left behind. “I worshiped them. You could feel in every conversation, every story, every text. He was a family man, and he loved deeply.”

His wife, Kelly McMahon, confirmed the death of the Australian actor in a statement until the deadline on Friday: “With an open heart, I want to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a brave effort to overcome cancer.”
