Amazon Backs AI Startup that allows you to do television programs

NEWNow you can listen to News articles!

What would happen if you could write your own episode of a successful program without a crew or cameras, just a warning? That is exactly what aims to make a San Francisco startup called Fable with its new artificial intelligence platform, Showrunner.

He now has the support of Amazon through the Alexa Fund. Although the exact amount of investment has not been revealed, Amazon’s participation indicates a growing interest in entertainment with AI. Fable describes Showrunner as the “Netflix de AI”, a place where anyone can write some words and instantly generate an episode.

A new era of entertainment generated by the user

Instead of seeing passively programs, Showrunner invites users to cook them. You can build an episode from scratch or jump to a world that someone else began. Everything is done through the text: it only describes the scene or history, and IA gets to work. The company was officially launched with Exit Valley, a satirical and animated series set in a fictional technology center called Sim Francisco. Think in Family Guy, but aimed at the Titans of Silicon Valley such as Elon Musk and Sam Altman. He is avant -garde, fun and completely enhanced by AI. If you are curious, go to the Showrunner website, and you will be directed to your Discord server, where episodes are transmitted and new in real time are made.

Backed by Big Tech, directed by a VR veteran

The Fable CEO, Edward Saatchi, has a story of pushing the limits. Before launching Fable, Oculus Story Studios co -founded, an Oculus Vr division acquired by goal. His last mission: convert Hollywood of a unidirectional transmission into a bidirectional conversation.

“Hollywood transmission services are about to become bidirectional entertainment,” Saatchi told Variety. “The public can make new episodes with some words and become characters with a photo.”

That vision has already begun to take shape. Fable previously launched nine episodes of South Park generated by AI that accumulated more than 80 million visits. These episodes were made with the company’s patented engine, adjusted for animated narration.

Why the animation is the first

At this time, Showrunner focuses completely on animated content and that is not an accident. According to Saatchi, animation is much easier to handle for AI than the photorealist video. While technological giants such as Meta, Openai and Google are competing to create videos of realistic, Fable is avoiding that battlefield. On the other hand, the startup wants to give everyday users the tools to become writers, directors and even stars of their own shows. All that is needed is a bit of imagination and some lines of text.

What this means for you

Whether you are a writer, animation fan or simply someone who is curious about AI, this change opens the door to a new type of entertainment. You no longer need a Hollywood budget to tell a story. If you have a creative idea, you can give life instantly and share it with a community that is doing the same. Showrunner gives you power to shape pop culture, not just consume it. You can even remix the existing episodes or jump to a world generated by AI with your own turn.

Kurt’s Key Takeways

Amazon to Fable support shows that generative AI seems to be the next evolution in how we create and experience entertainment. Tools like Showrunner are making viewers spectators, and what we consider a “television program” could be as personal as a playlist.
