From implementation to connectivity
After the recent launch, ULA managed the initial deployment sequence of its advanced Space Vplacir Operations Center at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. Once the satellites separated from the rocket, the control was transferred to the Mission Operations Center of the Kuiper project in Redmond, Washington.
Each satellite underwent a series of automated steps to activate the systems on board and began using electric propulsion to ascend to its final orbital altitude of 392 miles. Traveling at speeds greater than 17,000 miles per hour, these satellites now surround the land approximately every 90 minutes.
The final objective of KA-01 was not only the implementation but to establish end-to-end network connectivity. This implies transmitting data through land stations to satellites and returning to customer antennas, a process that will allow high -speed Internet service even in the most remote locations on Earth.

How the Kuiper project is compared against Starlink
Amazon Kuiper and Spacex Starlink They are at the forefront of the satellite Internet revolution, with the aim of providing high -speed connectivity to unattended and remote areas. - Ultra compact model: Speeds up to 100 Mbps for portable applications
- Standard model: Accelerations of up to 400 Mbps for residential and small businesses
- High bandwidth model: Accelerations of up to 1 Gbps for business users. Kuiper’s use of the KA frequency band provides greater theoretical bandwidth, but can face a greater attenuation of the dense cloud signal compared to Starlink Ku band
Price fixing
Starlink: Currently charges $ 599 for its standard receiver and $ 2,500 for its high performance model. Monthly service costs range from $ 80 to $ 120.
