Russian customs agents arrested a Russian-American woman at a Moscow airport for trying to bring a gun to the country in their suitcase, authorities said on Friday.
The Federal Customs Service of Russia said that the woman, a dual citizen without a name, was traveling from the United States through Türkiye and was arrested at Moscow Vnukovo airport.
“Vnukovo Customs officers arrested the illegal import of a gun and a bank check for a value of $ 138,000,” he said on social networks.
The Federal Customs Service of Russia said on social networks that the officers had stopped it during a random control control in the green lane of the airport customs corridor, used by passengers who have no goods to declare.
